The Blended Blog Loves #8

March 10, 2017, by Leslie Roberts Clingan

Blog writing and blog reading go hand in hand, so we figured we would take a break from our usual Friday Feature of bloggers in this wonderful community and instead showcase some of our favorites from our readings this week.

Welcome to The Blended Blog "Loves"...a collection of the best posts on our feeds.  Link up your best post this week and maybe we'll feature you too, or create a post featuring some of the best reads- we all love meeting new bloggers.

Dear friends, do I have some treats for you.  Sweet yet calorie-free!  Satisfying but will leave you for wanting more.  Talking 'bout some of my favorite blogs and posts.  So excited to share with YOU!  But before we get started, I've forgotten my manners...let me (re?)introduce myself...I am Leslie from Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After.  Happy to have you spending a bit of your day with me.

Now, let's get into the ooey, gooey goodness I've been savoring in blog world lately.

My first fav will probably be familiar to most, if not all of you.  Curly, Crafty Mom is Carrie Albrecht.

If you aren't already following Carrie's blog, trust me, you need to be.  She is the blogger epitome of the all-round total package.  She blogs about fashion, food, family and fun DIY projects.  When my blog and I grow-up, we want to be just like Carrie...curly hair and all.

She is hosting a "12 Months of Wreaths" series with a few other creative souls...including our own Sarah from Foxy's Domestic Side.  Check out Carrie's delicate coffee filter wreath for February, here.  And then be on the lookout for her upcoming March post.

In alphabetical order, next up is Hope Filled Love, hosted by Mary Clewley.  I first met Mary through Alison Lumbatis' "Get Your Pretty On" style challenges.  She always had an uplifting word for everyone participating in GYPO which made her standout among the hundreds of other lovely ladies.

For a long time, I thought Mary's name was Hope.  It wasn't until I started following her blog that I realized Mary was Mary.  Always hopeful Mary.  In a recent post, she wrote about "Spiritual Winter Vs. Spring" which resonated with me, read it here.  Mary also has an online store where I have purchased several of her prayer workbooks to use during my devotional time.

Just completing my study in "Victorious Living:  101 Prayers and Praises".  Such an interactive spiritual tool. Stop by Hope Filled Living to become inspired to be a better you from the inside out.

Ok, ABCDEFGHIJK...L...L is for Leslie and for Little Dove, a blog I just discovered this past week! So, I am just getting to know my way around there and just making Justine Young's acquaintance.

I am super duper stoked (have never used that word before) to be participating in the "Momma Love Fellowship" Justine is sponsoring at Little Dove.

This post explains the fellowship guidelines.  We have just been assigned our partners and mine is Ashley, the blogger behind Perks of Ponder.

And guess what?  Ashley is a LIBRARIAN.  Is that crazy or what?  (Oh, I am a librarian, too, for those of you who don't know)  And now I am also following Ashley.  I like to say there are no coincidences in this life.

After L comes M, N and O.  Out and Back blog and my friend Michael Ann Rentz.  I met Michael Ann through my friend, blogger and TBB contributor (on blogging sabbatical) Sheila from Making the Most of Every Day.

I think what I have taken away from Michael Ann's blog is her strong love of family and faith.  Her enthusiasm for life shines through in every post.  She and her hubby go OUT on great outdoor adventures - camping and recently kayaking.  (Ha, I know how to spell that! Not that but kayaking! Ha!)

Isn't that a gorgeous photo?  That water dripping from the oar, the sunlight's reflection.  Then when Michael Ann comes BACK from being out, she writes about cooking, homeschooling, books she's read, family and fashion.

We are to the end of the alphabet.  Past PQRSTUV and stopping at W for one last fabulous find.  WISF - Where I see Fashion.  Not a blog exactly but a tumblr-er.  Had to look up tumblr to see what it is...like how you define it.  Apparently, it is a 'social media networking website that allows users to post a short-form blog'. Paraphrased.

WISF is the brain child of Bianca Luini, a fashion design graduate living in Italy.

I discovered WISF on Instagram, I think.  My Pinterest "Images and Imagery" board features many examples of fashion photos as seen through Bianca's artistic eye.  I messaged Bianca asking if I could feature her work/blog with you here.  She was kind enough to reply and extend me permission to share her favorite piece with you.  I give you...Where I See Fashion.

Is that crazy beautiful?  Powerful!  Ingenious.  Spot on.  And there's more where that came from.  I invite you to follow Bianca on Instagram, here.  In an interview with Stylecaster, Bianca explained the connection between fashion and art like this: "I think that art and fashion have always had a symbiotic relationship, they're two entities that feed off of one another and this connection is getting stronger and stronger." [source] And now I remember, I first saw WISF on Stylecaster.

That brings us to the end of the alphabet and the end of this post.  Would like to invite you to stop by my blog at Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After to enter a giveaway for one of Mary Clewley's workbooks.  But before you go, won't you link-up one of your best posts below?

Thank you for sharing a few moments with me.  Please show my friends above some love by stopping by their blogs; let them know Leslie sent you.

Hugs and kisses,
