Tasty Tuesday Link Up: My Grandma's Kitchen

Hey everyone, it's Deena from Shoes to Shiraz.  Happy food sharing day on the blog- I am thrilled to be taking over for the day and have prepared a simple treat for you.

I give myself some sort of food making goal each winter, like the time I didn't buy bread and made it instead or when I cooked my way through a Barefoot Contessa Cookbook.  This year's goal was made in January, but I have been lacking drive- not because I don't want to cook, but this goal is a little more personal.
My goal is to have a sit down with all my aunts and uncles, recording their anecdotes to add character to the pages of my Grandma's well-used cookbook- then to cook the recipes, photographing them and turn it into a cookbook for our family.  Well, I finally started it last week and I'm sharing the first recipe with you.  If you want the back story, you'll have to hop over to my blog.

So without further ado, here is my Grandmother's Tea Biscuit recipe:





We added some Devon Cream to it and homemade raspberry preserves for the produit finale...they lasted a whole 35 minutes and not a crumb was left.  I am going to have to make these again!
