Tasty Tuesday - Blackberry Cobbler

August 29, 2017, by My New Happy

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday!  It's Lana from My New Happy, and today I've got a super simple and delicious Blackberry Cobbler recipe to share.

Blackberry bushes grow like weeds here in the Pacific Northwest, and we're constantly working to keep them from taking over.  But come late August/early September, we're finally happy to see them as they produce the most plump, yummy berries.

This cobbler recipe takes about 10 minutes to whip up, and is best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  If you don't have blackberries, raspberries, tayberries or loganberries would work just as well.

Blackberry Cobbler

1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups berries

Melt butter in a 9 inch pie pan.  In a mixing bowl, mix everything but berries until smooth.  Pour over melted butter, but do not mix.

Spoon berries over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, until edges turn brown.

Thanks for hanging out today.  Now let's get to linking!
