Tasty Tuesday - Pot Roast

September 26, 2017, by Shelly @ The Queen in Between

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday here at The Blended Blog where you can linkup your favorite recipes and take away some delicious dishes to try.  I'm Shelly from The Queen in Between blog where I love to share all my favorite foods.  Fall is always about bringing back the comfort foods and I love sharing some of my favorites by sharing a meal with another family.  Pot roast is one of those favorites for me.

My typical recipe for pot roast is to sprinkle with Lipton Onion Soup mix, add a cup of beef broth and set that sucker in the crockpot for 6-8 hours on low.  It's easy and it works but I had the chance to sample a meal delivered to my brother while they were hosting some hurricane evacuees and holy yum!  It took pot roast to an entirely new level and I was determined to find the recipe.

Maybe I'm the very last person to hear about Mississippi Pot Roast but just in case here you go! There are many versions out there but The Country Cook shows it off so beautifully.  I mean, y'all, add a stick of butter to anything and it's amazing right?  I promise you will not be disappointed!
If you are looking for something a little more traditional with lots of flavor for the instant pot, a friend of mine shared this amazing recipe with me and I'll be trying this week.  This Garlic Herb Pot Roast is one you want in your arsenal!

Now it's your turn!  Do you have a favorite recipe you like to make when sharing with another family?
