Tasty Tuesday: How to Make Homemade Popcorn

November 07, 2017, by Sarah

Hello Friends! Sarah here from Foxy's Domestic Side! My turn to take over Tasty Tuesday and I thought I would share one of my favorite snacks, who are we kidding or dinner or lunch...haha! I remember my mom making a big bowl of it, and we would all get our own kiddy bowl and dig in for more popcorn, I swear that bowl was never ending! Anyways, let's get to it!

What You'll Need:

Popcorn Kernels (I perfer white kernels)
Oil (of your chosing, we use Canola)
Salt and/or butter (optional)
Clean/Dry Pan with a Lid

Step 1:

Make sure your pan is super dry, I put on the heat under the pan while I hunt for ingredients. Then pour a thin layer of oil in the pan.

Spread it around, so it coats the pan and let heat up for a few seconds.

Step 2:

Add kernels in a thing layer to coat the bottom of the pan.

Step 3:

While it's heating, shake the pan a bit to move the kernels around. You want them to heat as evenly as possible.

Step 4:

Wait till you hear the popping starting to slow down. Turn off the heat just as it's almost done and let those last kernels pop on their own without heat.

Step 5:

Pour into bowl and add toppings and shake to mix
