Movies, TV and Books, Oh My!

May 14, 2018, by Carrie

Hey friends! This is Carrie from A Stylish Fit. I'm glad to be here to share a few favorite movies, TV shows and books to check out this summer since it's knocking at the door. I love me some warm weather and sitting in a nice, cool theater not cold but cool. There are a few flicks that I'm looking forward to seeing.

my top 3

1. Avengers: Infinity War (I know its been out for a few weeks already, but I still haven't seen it).  I love me some Hulk and Thor.

 2. Ocean's 8 is opening June 8th. Oh, man, I cannot wait to see this one. If Sandra Bullock is in it and she's Danny Ocean's sister, then it's got to be good. Enough said!

 3. Since we never miss a Mark Wahlberg movie, I'm sure we'll be in the theater on opening night for Mile 22.

I'm not always a great TV watcher in the summer but I did find a few that look interesting and I hope to get addicted to.

1. Who is watching The Bachelorette this summer? I haven't tuned in for awhile but I have enjoyed reading what others have said previously. I might have to get addicted to this series again.

2. I think my hubby might like Yellowstone (starring Kevin Costner). Then again, I might too. A little western flair never hurts, does it?

3. Amazon Prime might have a winner in Jack Ryan. Again, I can the hubby getting hooked and me getting sucked into this one too. It looks a little intense and complicated. I've always heard Tom Clancy's stuff is great. I hope so!

We all need some good books to read while were lounging at the pool, right? I cannot wait to dive into each of these.

1. The Summer I Met Jack ~ When I read this little snippet from Amazon, I knew I had to recommend this one (and read it too)!

The Summer I Met Jack by Michelle Gable is based on the fascinating real-life of Alicia Corning Clark, a woman who J. Edgar Hoover insisted was paid by the Kennedys to keep quiet, not only about her romance with Jack Kennedy but also a baby they may have had together.

2. Summer Wives ~ Oh, I think this one sounds mighty fabulous too.

This is what Amazon is saying:

New York Times bestselling author Beatriz Williams brings us the blockbuster novel of the season—an electrifying postwar fable of love, class, power, and redemption set among the inhabitants of an island off the New England coast . . .

3. Andrea from Living on Cloud Nine recommend the book Night and it sounds intriguing. It's on my reading list.

Amazon says:

Night is Elie Wiesel's masterpiece, a candid, horrific, and deeply poignant autobiographical account of his survival as a teenager in the Nazi death camps.

Those are my Top 3 movies, TV shows and books. What are yours? Can't wait to find out!
