Style Perspectives: A Graduation Look

May 16, 2018, by Sheila DelCharco

Welcome back to Style Perspectives! This post feels like deja vu for me! I did this same prompt two years ago when my son graduated! You can read that post HERE.

I’m at that stage in life where we are attending LOTS of graduations. I have a nephew graduating from college and his brother is graduating from high school. My daughter, my BABY, is graduating on Friday!! AHHHHH!

I’ve been doing pretty good with the tears, but every once in a while it hits me. I’ve been homeschooling since my oldest started kindergarten in 2000. With this graduation, my “career” as a homeschool teacher will end. I’ve been teaching writing classes to homeschoolers over the years and I’ve done some tutoring, but with this final chapter, I’m going to be easing myself out of those jobs, too. It’s bittersweet. Change is exciting but it can be hard too.

So of course I’ve been thinking about what to wear to graduation. I’ve looked around the internet and came up with a few looks. Here are my favorites:

Isn't this gingham dress adorable? I love gingham and the ties on the sleeves are so feminine!

I think this little flirty ruffle is also feminine and I just love navy. It also comes in black and a really pretty green. I would wear a dressier shoe than what the model is wearing though!

Speaking of navy dresses, this eyelet one is another favorite. A little heel would dress it right up!

This one is navy, polka dot AND a pretty floral. It's what I'm going to wear. I got it a few weeks ago on sale! It's comfy and loose. Perfect! Do you have any graduations to attend?
